Privacy notice

PAGA BV (KvK 32095556) publishes this site and is responsible for the personal data processed through it. Questions or requests: info@pagabv.com.

Reading the site

The site has no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. It is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site against abuse. Your browser may store a few functional settings locally, such as search state; these never leave your device.

Joining a discussion

Diary entries and pages in the argument end with a discussion panel. It loads when you scroll down to it, from giscus, an open-source commenting service; the discussion itself is stored on GitHub. When the panel loads, both receive technical data such as your IP address. We use it because showing readers' responses alongside each article is part of how this site works (our legitimate interest). If you prefer not to load it, stop reading before the end of those pages or block giscus.app in your browser.

If you sign in to comment, GitHub handles your account, and giscus keeps a sign-in token in your browser so you stay signed in. What you post is public on GitHub under your GitHub username, and is subject to GitHub's own terms and privacy statement. GitHub is based in the United States.

PAGA BV may quote contributions on this site, credited as described in the contribution guidelines. The basis for this is your agreement when you contribute. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, and we will remove the quotation from the site.

Emailing PAGA BV

If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply and keep correspondence for as long as needed for that purpose.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how it is used, by emailing info@pagabv.com. Comments on GitHub can also be edited or deleted by you directly. If you are unhappy with how your data is handled, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
